Think outside the box: Ways to save $$

Think outside the box: Ways to save $

- "Clearance item" or "Reduced item " areas:

Some stores you can find these in include :

  - Stop & Shop: "Next Day" Produce ( usually located near the Deli)
Bakery ( usually located near the frozen foods) 30-50% off breads, pastries, cookies, etc

 - Big Y:    Various Clearance items ( usually located far right or left of the store)
You may find canned goods, boxed items ( cereal, pasta) , juice, baby items etc
Bakery ( usually near the dairy section) Usually breads, english muffins, bagels

-Target, Walmart and Walgreens: End of Aisle Clearance Areas: These often have discontinued , end of season or damaged items. You can find some awesome deals in these areas.

*Be sure to check your local store for a clearance or discount item area*

Often I find that these sections are  VERY unorganized. If you have the patience, sift through and you will find a good deal. Who cares if a can of Campbells soup has a dent in it right?  I think 50% off tastes even better!

Take advantage of these deals. Remember- they can't sell it if it is going to harm you! :)
Note: It's probably best to use produce and bakery  items within a few days of purchase.

And finally -  *You can still use coupons on all of these clearance items!*
