How I Organize My Coupons!

A lot of people ask me how I organize my coupons.
                                   Let me show you!

                         Here are my Coupon Envelopes!
These are my babies and no ones allowed to touch :)

                                 The Back 4 Pouches are for  Groceries only
                                           They are color coded by section
                                                  Red= Frozen Foods
                                                  Green= Dairy/Deli
                                                 Purple( the back left) is snacks/ baby
                                                  Black = Grocery/Beverage
        You can organize them and color code them any way that makes sense to you.
              I did it this way because that's how my stores are set up.

       Here's a peek inside. I sub-categorize to make it personally work for me.

      This particular pocket is Grocery. I then broke it down into categories like:
Pasta/Pasta Sauce, Condiments, Jams/Jellies, Canned Foods, etc.
The bulk of these items are found in the center aisles of the store, so its easy for me to   know where to look.

*I decided to use the zipper pocket method instead of a coupon binder because of my one year old son. He is a very active little guy and often comes grocery shopping with me.
 I would never be able to flip through a binder to grab the coupons I need, while he is sitting in the front of the card. With these zip pockets I can easily grab the pocket I need out of my purchase on my shoulder and put it right back after i grab the coupon. *

These pockets are all housed in this purse. I wear it on my shoulder , just like a regular purse , when I push the cart. That way my hands are free to play with him and grab items on the shelf.

-They even double as a great toy too! He likes to zip and unzip the front zipper ( not the top zipper) . It keeps him entertained while I shop!

                                            Here's my coupon purse!

  The Other two pocket organizers in the front are for special coupons, not grocery.
I mostly buy these items at CVS or Walgreens, so I separate them out for convenience. The little guy rarely makes these trips with me , so I don't feel the need to use the zipper pockets.

You will see that I can fit more in the flap/velcro pockets which is perfect because I have a lot of Health & Beauty/ Household coupons.

The blue flap/velcro has all of my Health & Beauty and Household items. Sub - categories include:Laundry/Dish Soap, Paper Goods, Cleaning Products, Hair/Shaving, Body Wash/ Feminine Care

                  The tan flap/velcro has "Miscellaneous" Coupons.
                             This is where I keep my Store Specific Coupons. Like:
                                             CVS- extracarebucks/ coupons
                                              Walgreens Register Rewards/coupons
                                               Walmart specific coupons
                 I also use this pocket to put miscellaneous coupons that I come across on my trips  and don't have time to organize at that moment.

So there you are! This is my method of coupon organization. It's what works best for me with my son and my time constraints!

*Please know that I usually organize my shopping trip and have the coupons all stacked together before I go. This makes for a much easier trip and I only have to go into other pockets when I see a deal that I know I have a coupon for *
